Meet Our Medical Staff!

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) at The Oxford Center!

Dr. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biology, a Master’s in Public Health, and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Unlike a Doctor of Medicine degree, a DO degree includes osteopathic manipulative treatment which offers treatment with the hands and follows fundamental concepts of holistic care. This treatment allows DOs to look beyond the symptoms to understand how lifestyle and environmental factors impact wellbeing.

Dr. Thomas finds immense satisfaction as a family physician. Her approach to medicine heavily emphasizes preventative care, as she firmly believes that preventing diseases is more effective than treating them after diagnosis. While medications play a crucial role, Dr. Thomas also advocates for the transformative power of healthy lifestyle choices, which often offer fewer side effects and greater long-term benefits. According to Dr. Thomas, “I love being a family physician as I can see the entire family and treat the whole body.”

Physician Assistant (PA-C) at The Oxford Center!

Elle has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Detroit Mercy. During this time, she worked as a CNA with the geriatric population. After graduation, Elle worked as a hyperbaric technician here at The Oxford Center where she gained her clinical experience for PA school. With this experience she was able to see all the amazing benefits HBOT provided for such a wide variety of individuals in an environment that was welcoming and compassionate. Elle went on to receive her masters in physician assistant studies at University of Findlay Ohio. She then went on to work in internal medicine, sports medicine, and urgent care until she found her way back to The Oxford Center.

According to Elle, “I felt that often there is a missing piece of medicine that The Oxford Center fills. Here at TOC, we look at the patient as a whole, caring for all aspects of the patient’s health all in one place. Here I can take my care to the next level by individualizing every patient’s experience to meet their specific needs.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Can our doctors act as a primary care physician for patients at The Oxford Center?

Our Medical Doctor offers comprehensive health services similar to those of a primary care provider, including health assessments, preventive care, and personalized treatment plans, all tailored to your individual health needs.

Will insurance cover my visit?

In most cases, yes, but it depends on which type of insurance policy you have (HMO or PPO). Our billing department will be able to check prior to your appointment.

Can I schedule one consultation with the doctor for more than one patient?

Our doctors typically take at least one hour to full review a patient’s condition(s), medical history, and test results; therefore, one appointment is suited for one patient. If you need to review multiple patients’ records with the doctor, multiple appointments will be scheduled.

How can a patient contact the doctor?

If you are in need of assistance or advice from one of our doctors, please use your Patient Portal account to send a confidential message to our office or call our front desk to schedule a visit.

Do I need to schedule a Discovery Session to see a doctor?

No. However, if other therapies that are offered here are recommended during a consultation with our doctors, a Discovery Session with one of our nurses would be required.
